How to remove fuel spillage odour from your vehicle
For petrol/diesel fuel spillage, it is important to address the source of the odour before treating the vehicle with Airvidox Odour Eliminator.
We recommend using 2 bottles of AirVidox Interior Cleaning Concentrate for this. One for the concentrated cleaning of the affected spillage area and the second bottle for cleaning the entire vehicle, including the roof lining, steering wheel, and all other interior surfaces.
Deep cleaning of area of spillage:
Use a strong dilution of AirVidox Interior Cleaning Concentrate on the area of spillage. This will help dissolve and remove the petrol oils from the area of spillage.
Recommended dilution for intense cleaning:
- Mix 100ml of interior cleaning concentrate with 700ml of hot water.
- Clean the area thoroughly with the concentrated solution, using a microfiber cloth and a firm brush, to dissolve and extract the petrol/diesel oils. (We would recommend a steam cleaning process for even better cleaning extraction of the spillage)
- Rinse the cloth often in a separate bucket of hot clean water.
- Repeat the above process until the spillage area has been thoroughly cleaned.
Entire car interior clean:
Once you are satisfied that the area has been thoroughly cleaned, add the second bottle of AirVidox Interior Cleaning Concentrate (100ml) to 5 Litres of warm water and mix well.
Use a microfiber cloth to scrub and wipe down all interior surfaces, including the roof lining and steering wheel.
Treating the vehicle with AirVidox:
Ensure that all interior surfaces are thoroughly dry before treating the vehicle with Airvidox Odour Eliminator.
